    DJ Irie’s Star-Studded Weekend



    Miami’s favorite DJ, DJ IRIE just wrapped up his star-studded IRIE Weekend, now in its 13th year. The action-packed four-day series of charity events ran from June 29th – July 2nd with all proceeds going to the IRIE Foundation which works to empower South Florida’s youth. From Guy Fieri to Kevin Hart, this year’s IRIE Weekend was the biggest to date.


    Events included a golf clinic for the kids of Irie Foundation, the Under Armour celebrity golf tournament, The One Beat Gala with a surprise performance by Nelly, Aquafina’s pool party and a birthday brunch for funny man, Kevin Hart.





    El Clasico: FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid



    The two Spanish soccer clubs will hold open practices at Hard Rock Stadium on July 28 ahead of their highly anticipated July 29 exhibition match in Miami. Tickets will be available to the general public starting Monday at 1 p.m. on


    The game will feature Barcelona forward Lionel Messi and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who are widely regarded as two of the best players in the world. The two have a combined nine FIFA Ballon d’Or Awards, given to the world’s best male player.

    Palm Beach Dramaworks Presents: Sweeney Todd



    When it comes to theatrical time travel, a bit of murder, mayhem and exquisitely beautiful music can be just the ticket. Palm Beach Dramaworks’ just-opened production of “Sweeney Todd” puts the lie to the notion that excellent musical theater is a seasonal thing in South Florida.


    Director Clive Cholerton and star Shane Tanner give us a Sweeney Todd who returns to London after 15 years in an Australian prison determined to find the wife and daughter stolen from him by a corrupt judge.




    Featured Restaurant: Rubio’s Coastal Grill



    This 34-year-old chain, known for introducing fish tacos to America, has opened a third Miami location — the fifth in South Florida — in Biscayne Commons. “Florida, and Miami in particular, has always been a priority market for expansion because of the shared passion for quality seafood and culinary innovation,” says Ralph Rubio, who co-founded Rubio’s in San Diego after a college trip to Baja California, Mexico. “We see great potential throughout South Florida and look forward to expansion opportunities.”
