    Woman’s Club Hurricane Comedy Relief Comes to Coconut Grove

     

     

    On Friday, October 6th, 2017, Gina G, Florida’s 2017 Funniest Female, Angela Nacca, and William “Rock the House” Lewis will be entertaining guests at the Woman’s Club Hurricane Comedy Relief sponsored by Illine Davila, P.A., of the Audrey Ross Team/Compass. The show will start promptly at 7:30 p.m at the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove clubhouse located at 2985 South Bayshore Drive, Coconut Grove, FL 33133. Tickets are available online here or at www.womansclubofcoconutgrove.org for $20 or $25 at the door. VIP tickets can also be purchased by guests wishing to be close to the action for $125 which includes 4 reserved premium seating tickets and one bottle of wine. All patrons must be 18 or older as this is an “adult” show.

    FIU was ranked as one of the top universities in the country by U.S. News & World Report, which has been providing education rankings to help parents and students find their perfect school since 1983. “We have made great strides over the last several years to improve student success and it is an honor for FIU to be listed among the top colleges in the country,” said Provost and Executive Vice President Kenneth G. Furton. FIU ranked 122nd among public universities and FIU’s undergraduate degree in international business ranked seventh in the country.

    Miami Tennis Center to Host the 2017 World ITF Championships

     

     

    Miami Beach is not just a relaxation destination, but an international hot spot for recreational sports. With palm trees and pristine beach as their backdrop, the finest senior tennis players from around the world will compete in the International Tennis Federation Seniors World Team & Individual Championships at the North Shore and Flamingo Park Tennis Centers in hopes of winning one of the five revered cups. Men and women, ages 50 to 60, will take their talents to the courts from October 29 through November 11, 2017. Top-ranked players from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, China, Australia, the U.K., New Zealand, Spain and the United States will show off their skills in singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches — leaving spectators on the edge of their seats.

    Pet license tags get a digital upgrade

     

     

    Miami-Dade Animal Services (Animal Services) is replacing the traditional metal dog license tags with new cutting-edge digital license/identification tags that can help lost pets get back home more quickly. In addition to a license tag number, the new digital tags are equipped with a unique QR code (Quick Response Code) that when scanned will access a web page with the pet’s information. The added QR code increases the ability immediately and safely access a pet’s encrypted, critical data, including multiple emergency contact phone numbers, medications, license and rabies tag information, microchip number, vaccinations, pet medical insurance status, and much more.
